A blanket is a healing force that carries warmth from one human heart to another, hope of a better tomorrow
We give to children’s organizations in the Portland/Vancouver area and we hear from people how much our blankets have meant – first for the child and then for the parent who must face terrible fears for their child.
Diagnosed with RSV and pneumonia and after 24 hours of being awake, holding her, crying, feeling so frightened, the nurse brought us one of your blankets. I wrapped her up in it and she finally fell asleep! It made a huge difference for both of us physically and emotionally. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Thank you, thank you, thank you! – Jodi Collins
Some of the children we serve are not injured or sick but may face an emotional trauma just as damaging. Johnny’s home burned one night; all he had to wear was what he wore to bed… and now he has a Project Linus quilt to keep him warm.
